Parks House Celebrates Double Victory in Sports Day and House Cup
Posted on: 14/07/2026Last week, Barton Manor School hosted its annual Sports Day. While the day’s programme was adapted to ensure the safety and wellbeing of students during the hot weather, the enthusiasm, determination and sporting spirit on display remained as strong as ever.
Students competed brilliantly on the day, demonstrating excellent teamwork, resilience and commitment. The competition was fierce, with every House fighting hard for valuable points.
Congratulations to Parks House, who were crowned Sports Day champions after achieving an impressive 452 points. Fawcett House secured second place with 374 points, while Elizabeth House finished third with 359 points.
Sports Day also marked the conclusion of this year’s House Cup competition, which recognises the points students have earned throughout the entire academic year. After months of hard work, participation and achievement across all aspects of school life, the final standings were incredibly close.
A huge congratulations goes to Parks House, who won the House Cup with a remarkable 29,037 points. Turing House finished in second on 28,588 points, with Attenborough House taking third place on 28,005 points.
Well done to all students who took part and contributed points to their Houses throughout the year. Their effort, dedication and school spirit have made this year's Sports Day and House Cup competitions a tremendous success. We look forward to building on this success in the year ahead.
