Debate Club - March 23

This week BMS, BCGS and SLBGS took part in the Debate Club Tournament.

BCGS won overall and there were individual prizes for a member of both the BCGS and BMS team for displaying excellent debating skills .  

Topics debated were:

Guns should be outlawed in America

Mobile phone use should be banned for children of Primary School age 

The death penalty should be reinstated in the UK

All students from both of our schools worked hard to prepare for the debates in advance and despite this being their first formal debate and being against some older students, they demonstrated confidence in public speaking and excellent analytical skills .

More events to follow in Terms 5 and 6.
