Students Gain Valuable Career Insights at Employer Encounter Event
Posted on: 29/06/2026Students in Years 8 and 9 recently took part in our Employer Encounter Event, giving them the opportunity to meet and speak with a wide range of professionals from different industries.
For the second year running, students sat down with ten different employers to learn more about the world of work and explore potential career pathways. Representatives from organisations including EKC College Group, an architecture firm, the British Army, and the game design industry were on hand to share their experiences and answer students' questions.
The event provided an excellent opportunity for students to gain a deeper understanding of the skills, qualifications and experiences required for a variety of careers. Students also benefited from expert careers guidance and advice from Kelly, our impartial Careers Adviser from EBP.
Following the event, Year 9 students took part in follow-up activities on the last Cultural Capital Day of the school year, reflecting on their conversations and considering how the experience could influence their future aspirations and career choices.
We are incredibly grateful to EBP for their support and hard work in helping us deliver this successful event as part of our ongoing partnership. Together, we remain committed to providing students with the best possible careers education and opportunities to prepare for their futures.
